Chapter 22. I will not forget you.
[A/N: I was writing this when I'm listening to 2PM- I can't. Link here]
Taemin went to school as per normal with his Uncle sending him. He didn't say anything since last night. He was upset about Min's marriage. Taemin got out from the car after saying goodbye to his Uncle. He walked towards the canteen as per normal. He stopped halfway as he saw Min with Sung Min.
"Good Morning," Sung Min smiled.
"Morning," Taemin smiled back.
Min didn't say anything. Instead, she looked away. Sung Min approached Taemin and handed him a photo.
"I believe this is yours. Keep it safe, dude." Sung Min smiled.
"T.. Thanks," Taemin reached out for the photo and slipped it into his book.
Taemin walked away from Min and her husband to be. He felt the urge to cry, but he fought back. He bought himself a drink and walk towards homeroom. Homeroom, it's where Min and Taemin sat side by side.
-Homeroom, 7.20 AM-
Min sat at her place. She found that Taemin wasn't beside her. Professor Yang came in to take the attendance. 10 Minutes later, Taemin came in running with his face full of bruises. Min was worried but she didn't show it. Everything between them, was gone.
"What happen to you?" Min murmured under her breath.
"I can hear you." Taemin replied while smiling at Min.
"Ah, then.. Answer me?" Min asked.
"It's nothing. No need to worry about me. Think about your marriage and exams before we graduate," Taemin nudged.
Minho monitored his dongsaeng's awkward actions with Min. Something happened between them? If so, what happened?
After class, Minho and Key approached Taemin.
"What happened between you and Min?" Minho asked.
"Ah, hyung. You scared me, nothing happen, really," Taemin lied.
"We can tell you're lying," Key pointed out.
Jin Shin and Shin Shin came running hugging their oppas from behind. Young Hae and Onew went to the canteen already.
"Ah! Taeminnie oppa, what happen to you and Min unnie?" Jin Shin and Shin Shin asked in unison.
Taemin stared at them, trying hard not to cry. Nearby, Min and Sung Min overheard their conversation.
"She met her ideal guy. It's not me. I broke up with her, so she can be happy. I know it may sound stupid. She's my ideal girl. But I'm not her ideal guy. I hurt her so many times. I still love her, even if she's not mine. I will not forget her," Taemin smiled before walking away.
Min stared at the ground feeling guilty. Sung Min know her real feelings. He likes her too. They're going to get married and say the vow in 5 days time. Yet, they didn't invite any of their friends. Min told Sung Min she will invite Taemin personally, but she never did.
"What's up with Taemin, he really seems so sad these few days," A classmate of Min said, walking past her.
Min couldn't take it anymore. She pulled Sung Min to the canteen. While watching Sung Min eat, she think about everything she had done with Taemin. She sigh heavily just to think about last night. Taemin went over to his locker. The hallway was totally empty. It was only him and and his locker. He took out the photo Sung Min gave him and stare at it.
"We're nothing. But.. I will not forget you. Never," Taemin said before keeping the photo in a safe place.
