Chapter 3. Dad.
Taemin was shocked to see his dad talking to his Uncle. He walked down the stairs and greeted his dad. Taemin's dad hugged Taemin tightly and give him a smile.
"Surprise?" Mr.Lee asked his son.
"Appa, what are you doing here?" Taemin asked confused.
"What else? See my son of course. How's Busan High? Suit your taste?" Mr.Lee asked eagerly.
"Yes, it's perfect. But, I thought you had a tight schedule for the whole month. Didn't expect you to be here," Taemin shrugged.
Mr.Lee do have tight schedule almost every year. He is busy auditioning people, compose songs, produce albums. He is very busy indeed. Once, it was Taemin's birthday, Mr.Lee didn't even went over to Canada or sent him a card to wish him a Happy Birthday. Only Taemin's Uncle did. Taemin got upset and told his Uncle that he doesn't want to meet his dad. After a short tea break with his dad at his Uncle's house, Mr.Lee left Taemin with his hyung. He need to fly back to States and finish composing songs and producing albums. Taemin didn't want to say goodbye or have a safe flight. Instead, he went up to his room and shut the door.
"Appa doesn't care about me anymore," Taemin sighed as he stared at his mom's picture that was framed on his desk.
-the next morning-
Taemin got up excitedly and got dressed neatly. He packed his backpack and went to the dining table for breakfast with his Uncle's family. After breakfast he waved goodbye to his cousins and his Uncle and Aunt. He grabbed his jacket that was hanging behind the door and wore them carefully. Taemin didn't noticed that his classmates, Onew, Jonghyun, Key and Minho were waiting in Onew's car.
"Yah, LEE TAEMIN!" Jonghyun shouted.
Taemin looked up and found that Minho and Key were waving at him telling him to join them in the car. Taemin ran and hopped into Onew's car.
"Good Morning, hyungs." Taemin greeted them
Key pulled out his comb and combed Taemin's hair. Minho gave Key a playful nudge.
"Woah, hyung, you really like an Umma," Minho teased.
All of them laughed except Taemin. Minho stopped laughing and asked Taemin why he didn't laugh. Taemin didn't reply to Minho. He pulled out his iPod and shove his earpieces into his ear and blast out music. Minho's expression changed. He was worried he insulted Taemin.
"Aish, you didn't know about Taemin's family?" Onew asked Minho while driving.
"What happen?" Minho shrugged.
"Well, I heard from the Principal who talked to Taemin's Uncle. I believed. He said Taemin's mum died when he was young. Taemin's dad didn't even talk about her ever since, so.. Whenever we talk about mum. We must make sure Taemin isn't there, okay guys?" Onew explained.
"Sure, but hyung! What about our group? We still need another member. I heard Taemin's dad is a famous producer in the States. I believe Taemin inherit some of his dad's blood. Should we audition him?" Jonghyun exclaimed.
Taemin danced well when he was in Canada. He got offered into various courses like Hip Hop, Pop, but he rejected them all. Even he rejected his dad offer on having a solo album. Will he reject his hyungs offer?
