One. [In the midst of Winter season.]
Taemin stepped out of his uncle's car feeling cold and shivering. Winter season is here. Taemin kept his hand in his pocket.
"Taemin, welcome home," Taemin's uncle echoed behind him.
It's been 3 years Taemin studied overseas and now he is back in Busan to meet his Uncle's family. Taemin's mum died when he was young, his dad is a famous producer living in the States. Taemin didn't mind his dad working hard in the States. But sometimes, Taemin hates it when his dad doesn't visit him even when he's really free.
"Gomapta, ahjussi," Taemin bowed.
Taemin went in his Uncle's house and find that all of his cousins and his Aunt waiting in the living room with a huge banner saying "WELCOME BACK, LEE TAEMIN" hanging on the stairs. Taemin's younger cousins came running and gave him a huge hug.
"Oppa! How is it in Canada? Is it as cold as Busan?" Juri asked while looking up at Taemin.
Taemin looked down to see his 4-years old cousin. Juri grew a lot.
"Ah, it is very cold. Can make you shiver like this." Taemin said as he carried his cousin and spin around the room.
"Yah, becareful. You must be tired and hungry, I made some seaweed soup and kimbap, go help yourself." Taemin's Aunt said as she pat Taemin's back. Taemin insisted on making his younger cousins laugh. Then his older cousin came down from her room and shouted Taemin's name. Taemin looked up and smile.
"Oh, Noona! Annyeonghaseyo," Taemin greeted with a bow.
"Annyeonghaseyo Minnie. Wah, you look prettier than before," Chung Ae teased.
"Yah! I'm a guy! Aish jin jja. Your cousin and you don't know my gender? YOU BAD MONSTER!" Taemin laughed.
Chung Ae quickly run down the stairs and chased Taemin around the dining table. Even Chung Ae's younger sibling joined in. They laughed and had a good time together. Little did Taemin know, he needs to go to a new school tomorrow.
-The next morning-
A gentle knock was heard on Taemin's door. Taemin opened the door while yawning and scratching .
"Taemin ah, wake up. You need to go to Busan High." Taemin's Aunt called out while tapping on Taemin's cheek.
"Ah! It's today! Aigo. I forgot about it. Yes ahjumma. I'll get ready as soon as possible," Taemin's eye widened.
I wonder how is it going to be in a new school, Taemin thought to himself.
With no friends to walk to school with, he felt lonely. But lucky for him, his Uncle's driver drove him to school. Even though he felt nervous inside, he is still confident and he looked forward to Busan High. As soon as they arrived at Busan High, Taemin thanked his Uncle's driver and walk to the office. On the way to the office, he saw a group of girls clustered together by the wall. One of them hair long flowy black hair. One of them has long curly hair, the other two had short hair. Taemin ignored them and went into the office to take his schedule. As soon as he walked out, he bumped into the girl he saw. The one with long black hair.
"Aigo!" the girl wailed.
"Ah! I'm sorry. I didn't see you. By the way, I'm Taemin. I'm new here. Are you hurt?" Taemin apologised as soon as he saw the girl rubbing her elbow.
"Nah, I'm okay. Oh, You do look new. I'm Min. Nice to meet you," Min said and with that she walk into the office.
Taemin heartbeat stopped for a moment. She met the most cheerful yet pretty girl in this school.
Ah, You have luck today, Taemin. Taemin told himself.
